|[[IC>>doc:.IC Subscopes.WebHome]]|Integrated Circuit|Integrated Circuit; unless stated explicitly otherwise, an IC is an integrated circuit containing a version of the MChip application.
|[[ICM>>doc:.ICM Subscopes.WebHome]]|IC Module|Integrated Circuit Card Module – one IC, typically the secure element, packaged into a module, with contacts or connectors for an antenna or both
|[[IL>>doc:.IL Subscopes.WebHome]]|Inlay|An Inlay in the card constructions, usually containing at least an antenna to make a contactless card
|[[CB>>doc:.CB Subscopes.WebHome]]|Cardbody|A card without an embedded IC
|[[ICC>>doc:.ICC Subscopes.WebHome]]|IC Card|Integrated Circuit Card – a plastic card containing an IC
|[[P>>doc:.P Subscopes.WebHome]]|Personalized Card|Personalization of a cardholder device
|[[iacICM>>doc:.IACICM Subscopes.WebHome]]|IC Module for producing IAC|Integrated Circuit Card Module containing additional functionality – an ICM containing more components than just one secure element, e.g. multiple IC, or an IC and additional discrete capacitors or resistors. An iacICM may have external contacts or connectors for an antenna or both or neither.
|[[BSM>>doc:.BSM Subscopes.WebHome]]|Biometric Sensor Module|Biometric Sensor Module, an iacICM containing a biometric sensor, such as a Fingerprint Sensor, a Voice Sensor, or an Image Sensor
|[[iacIL>>doc:.IACIL Subscopes.WebHome]]|IL for producing IAC|InterActive Card InLay, an inlay containing the electronics of, and intended to produce an IAC from. The typical difference between an IAC and an iacIL iacIL being that the iacIL iacILlacks the printed layers on the top and bottom.
|[[IAC>>doc:.IAC Subscopes.WebHome]]|InterActive Card|InterActive Card, a card that supports direct interaction with the card holder (not via a terminal or computer), such as cards containing a display, an LED, push buttons, fingerprint sensors etc.
